The Conway Public Schools Board of Education has approved the hiring of Dr. Megan Duncan. Dr. Duncan has been named “Assistant Superintendent” effective July 1, 2023.  

Dr. Megan Duncan began her career as a substitute teacher and then as a teacher with the Bryant School District. She worked as a principal for the Wickes and Mena School Districts. She served as the Superintendent for the Wickes and Elkins School District in Northwest Arkansas. Dr. Duncan was appointed as the Assistant Commissioner of Education in 2013 for the Arkansas Department of Education, served as Associate Superintendent for the Springdale School District, and currently serves as Deputy Superintendent for Fayetteville Public Schools.  

She was named the 2013 Arkansas Rural Education Superintendent of the Year and 2017 Arkansas Curriculum and Instruction Administrator of the Year. Dr. Duncan also teaches university courses to assist in the development of aspiring principals and superintendents across the state of Arkansas.  Dr. Duncan has worked with communities to help build the economy and connect services for students.

The School Board and Superintendent are pleased to welcome Dr. Duncan to the Conway Public Schools District. Conway Schools Superintendent, Jeff Collum says Dr. Duncan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in several areas.
