The Conway Public Schools Board of Education has approved the hiring of Dr. Andy Ashley.
Dr. Ashley has been named “Assistant Superintendent” effective July 1, 2023.

Dr. Ashley began his career in 1999 as a math teacher and basketball coach with the Cabot
School District. He worked as a teacher, a coach, and an assistant principal for the Lonoke
School District. Dr. Ashley worked at Vilonia High School as principal and assistant
principal. He served eight years as a superintendent for the Cedar Ridge and Heber Springs
Schools Districts.

A lifelong Arkansan, Dr. Ashley holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central
Arkansas. He earned a master’s degree from Harding University and a specialist and doctorate
degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Arkansas. Andy and his wife, Lauren
have three children, AZ, Slayton, and Michael.

The School Board and Superintendent are pleased to welcome Dr. Ashley to the Conway Public Schools District. Dr. Jeff Collum, Conway Schools Superintendent feels Dr. Ashley will bring tremendous experience and add value to the leadership team.

“Dr. Ashley will bring another perspective to our district as a leader. We are truly excited to see
him join our school district,” says Dr. Collum.
