Conway Public Schools proudly announces the appointment of Ben Lindsey as the new Head Basketball Coach for Conway High School's boys' basketball team. With an illustrious coaching career marked by stellar achievements, Coach Lindsey joins the Wampus Cat family from Magnolia High School, bringing with him an extraordinary record of success.
During his tenure at Magnolia High School, Coach Lindsey has amassed a remarkable record, boasting an impressive 127-6 overall record in boys' basketball. His leadership has been instrumental in guiding the team to a phenomenal 54-game win streak, securing two state championships and five conference championships. Notably, Coach Lindsey achieved two undefeated seasons during his five-year tenure at Magnolia, clinching the state championship in 2020 with a flawless 26-0 record, and repeating the feat in 2022 with a perfect 29-0 record. His exceptional coaching has been acknowledged by peers and experts alike, earning him the prestigious title of 4A Coach of the Year on multiple occasions.
Prior to his tenure at Magnolia High School, Coach Lindsey honed his skills as part of the coaching staff at the University of Missouri, where he played a pivotal role in the team's historic season. Under his guidance, the team achieved a remarkable 31-7 record, securing the most wins in school history. Their outstanding performance culminated in being crowned Big 12 Tournament Champions and making a memorable appearance in the Elite 8 of the college basketball playoff finals in 2009.
