Conway Bomb Squad Captains Inspire Future Engineers at February Frostbyte VEX Robotics Tournament

Conway, AR – The Conway February Frostbyte VEX Robotics Tournament, held on February 8th, welcomed special guests from the Conway Bomb Squad, Captain Danny Collins and Captain Stephen Craig, who showcased their cutting-edge robotic technology to students, coaches, and spectators. Their participation provided an exciting real-world connection between robotics education and its impactful applications in public safety.

Captains Collins and Craig brought three of the Bomb Squad’s operational robots, demonstrating their advanced capabilities in hazardous materials handling, explosive ordnance disposal, and remote operations. Attendees had the unique opportunity to see firsthand how robotics plays a crucial role in emergency response and law enforcement.

In addition to their engaging demonstrations, Captains Collins and Craig generously volunteered as judges for the tournament, lending their expertise and keen eye for precision, problem-solving, and innovation. Their insight and encouragement made a lasting impression on the participating students, reinforcing the importance of STEM education and its real-world applications.
