🎓 A remarkable visit at CHS! On October 17, CHS had the honor of hosting Chancellor Charles F. Robinson and a distinguished delegation from the University of Arkansas to celebrate our outstanding National Merit Finalists: Ellie Feng, Kaylee Francis, Evangeline Montgomery, Jacob Regehr, Henry Ross, James Xin, and Tim Yang. 🌟 Their hard work and dedication have earned them this prestigious recognition, and we couldn't be prouder. Conway's Oak Grove Cemetery is hosting "Gone But Not Forgotten," a come-and-go event featuring monologues from Conway High School Drama Students who will portray famous educators from the community.
The cemetery is historically significant as the burial site of many of Conway's earliest leading citizens, including important educators. The cemetery is located at 305 Bruce Street, Conway, AR 72032.
The students researched and wrote monologues about Sallie Cone, Ellen Smith, Ida Burns, and Julia Lee Moore of Conway Public Schools, Jefferson Farris Jr. and Guy Estes of UCA, and John Hugh Reynolds of Hendrix College.
This free event will take place on Sunday, October 29, 2023, and will feature tours led by guides leading visitors from gravesite to gravesite.
